Greetings Sorors of the Magnificent Midwestern Region of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
Please join me in congratulating newly elected International President Valerie Hollingsworth-Baker on a successful campaign to become the 25th International President of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. I very much look forward to working along-side of her as we all push forward to evolve the organization. I am confident her leadership will usher in new and exciting opportunities to raise the positive profile of our great sorority as we journey toward the Centennial celebration in 2020 and beyond.
Special acknowledgement and appreciation are given to the 20st Midwestern Regional Director, Soror Samantha Hughes, for her many years of faithful service to our organization from 2012-2018. Recently appointed as her successor, I am both humbled and excited at the opportunity to serve as your 21st Midwestern Regional Director. Instituting the vision of our dynamic new International President, the future looks bright for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and the Midwestern region will not only share in that success, but will become a leader throughout the organization.
My journey in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. began at Lambda Alpha Chapter, Langston University in Langston Oklahoma on March 10, 1981. I represent the 2nd of three generations of members of the Lambda Alpha Chapter in my family. Over the years I have been honored to work with an untold number of dedicated and inspirational members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. on a number of projects and serving in many capacities. My journey continues today as a member of a group of dynamic Sorors of Omega Iota Zeta Chapter, Kansas City, Missouri as your newly appointed regional director.
The strength of our organization has always been its members. Your help, love and support are needed to propel our sorority to 2020 and beyond. This will require all Graduates, Undergraduate, Amicae and Youth to lock arms in solidarity as together we transform the Midwestern Region into a beacon of hope and change that can stand as a model to others throughout the organization.
As members of Zeta, we all stand on the shoulders of our founders and the women whom have come before us. I pray your help and dedication to our mission as we work hard to ensure our light shines brightly enough to make them proud for their sacrifice and the positive example of the MIGHTY MIDWESTERN REGION.
Please join us in that effort.
Soror Constance Harris
Midwestern Regional Director
